When the speeches are finished and the formalities wrap up, the dance floor becomes the heart of your event. At Party Hire Group, we offer quality dance floor hire services across Sydney and Melbourne. Our specialist crew takes care of delivery, professional installation and post-event pack-down. If you have a venue with strict bump-out requirements, we also offer same-night collections.
For ultimate elegance and sophistication, our white gloss dance floors add a stunning touch of modern glamour to your special day. The polished, reflective surface catches your venue’s lighting beautifully, making it an absolute favourite for wedding receptions. Its clean white finish is also synonymous with the white feel of wedding events.
Note: Our white poly gloss flooring is strictly for indoor use and must be installed on level, flat ground.

If you are looking for a classic aesthetic, the timber parquetry dance floor is the ideal choice. It creates a warm look and is suitable for weddings, corporate events, awards nights, general parties and birthdays.
All dance floors are installed on site by our specialist crew. Same-night collections are available should your venue require the floor to be removed on the same night.
Note: To ensure structural integrity, our parquetry floors are suitable for indoor use only on a flat, level surface.

To ensure a seamless setup on the day of your event, please keep the following requirements in mind when booking your dance floor.

Our dance floor panels are approximately 1.2m square. As a general guide, each panel is suitable for around two people to dance on at one time.
Typically, around 30–60% of guests will use the dance floor at any given time. For example, with a wedding of 150 guests, you could expect around 45–90 guests to be dancing at once. In this scenario, a 7.2m x 7.2m dance floor would hold around 90 people. If you want to be safe, or you know your crowd is likely to dance a lot, it is always better to go slightly larger rather than smaller. In this case, we would usually suggest 8.4m x 8.4m.
| Guest numbers | Suggested dance floor size |
|---|---|
| 50 guests | 4.8m x 4.8m |
| 75 guests | 6m x 6m |
| 100 guests | 7.2m x 7.2m |
| 150 guests | 8.4m x 8.4m |
| 200 guests | 9.6m x 9.6m |
No, the floor underneath needs to be level. Our panels have a locking mechanism to ensure they do not come apart under heavy activity, and this can only be engaged properly if the ground is level.
Yes, provided it is a relatively firm surface and does not bounce a lot.
In most cases, no, unless the area is properly covered. If you have a covered marquee, garage or pergola, we may be able to build the dance floor there. It cannot be set up in an open area exposed to rain and cannot be built on grass.
The time taken varies based on a few factors, with the size of the dance floor being the biggest one. The larger the floor, the more labour is involved to assemble it.
If access is good and the team can trolley pieces in, they can usually bring in five pieces at a time and build around 6 square metres in about 10 minutes. As a guide, if you have a 60 square metre dance floor, allow around one hour. Smaller dance floors might only take 30–45 minutes to build, while larger ones could take up to 1.5 hours.
Unfortunately, we do not allow this. We use our own qualified installers who know the correct way to build the floor and make sure all panels are locked in properly for the safety and peace of mind of your guests.
Yes, the floors are robust and designed for heels and heavy foot traffic. The pieces are level and lock together, which also helps prevent tripping hazards.
The cost varies depending on the dimensions of the floor, the style you choose, the venue access requirements and the location. Every event space is different. Some have stairs, others have loading docks, some have level entry and easy access, and others do not.
The times we need to build and collect the floor can also affect delivery and labour pricing. If the dance floor needs to be picked up the same night, this can increase the cost. Please contact us for a customised quote.
